Incorporated in 1997, Changle City Shanli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd., Fujian Province is funded as a limited liability company, with its plant based at Huayang Village, Wenwusha Town, Changle City. Its Legal Representative is named Chen Shiqing, and registered capital and paid-up capital both read RMB105, 000, 000. Thereinto, Chen Shiqing has contributed capital of RMB57, 750, 000 (accounting for 55% of total investment) and Liu Xiujuan of RMB47, 250,000 (accounting for 45% of total investment). The company covers a plot area of 107,179 square meters and a floor area of 64,359 square meters. The company is staffed with 430 employees, among whom 25 employees act as executives and technicians and 3 as senior technicians. The company has introduced 16 FDY production lines from Japanese Murata and Teijin companies, and 2 POY production lines from German Barmag, as well as 22 sets of production equipment and supporting utility facilities for making DTY from Japanese Murata and German Barmag. The company also sells various kinds of PFY and is capable of making above 52,000 tons of PFY each year. Its products are sold in Changle City, Guangdong Province, Zhejiang Province, etc.

Currently, slices are used as raw materials for making PFY and the process of solid-phase polymerization consumes too much energy for spinning. Therefore, the company is planning to build the project able to make 600,000 tons of melt direct-spinning differential dacron annually in Binhai Industrial Park, Changle City. The project constitutes two phases. The phase I project is under construction and is expected to produce 100,000 tons of FDY, 50,000 tons of POY and 150,000 tons of differential polyester staple fibre annually, totaling 300,000 tons of products each year.

The project will help expand the company’s production scale, adjust its product structure, and upgrade the technology advantages of the company in the domestic industry. The company’s technology and equipment will reach the advanced level in domestic industry. The production of top-grade differential polyester fibre not only improves the company’s reputation in the market, but also strengthens its bargaining power. The project aims at building an industrialization base for producing differential polyester fibre in order to satisfy the demands of light industry as well as garment and footwear-making enterprises.
